Address book

An Address book is a book in which contact details are kept. The term also denotes software designed for this purpose. See, for example Apple Address Book.

Import and Export

Address book can be imported and exported from an Internet suite and/or operating system.

The more common file formats for these operations are:

• LDIF (*.ldif, *.ldi), the more reliable.
• Tab delimited (*.tab ,*.txt)
• Comma separated (*.csv)
