Aerides

Aerides (Lour., 1790) is a genus of the Orchid family (Orchidaceae) (SUBFAMILY Epidendroideae, TRIBE Vandeae, SUBTRIBE Sarcanthinae). There are 19 species in this genus, known primarily from Asia. Morphologically, they are very similar to Vanda.
