Alani is the Hawaiian name of a number of species if shrubs and trees in thegenus Melicope, family Rutaceae. Several of the species are listed as federally endangered due to habitat loss and competition from invasive non-native plants.
Alani is also the historical name of a tribal people, also known as the Alans
