Amniotic fluid
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Amniotic fluid is the watery liquid surrounding and cushioning a growing fetus within the amnion until shortly before birth. (One sign that birth is imminent is when the woman's "water breaks", which is the rupture of the amnion and the release of the amniotic fluid.)
