Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (a posthumous creation) is a TV-series which premiered in the fall of 2000 and by August 2003 was in it's fourth season. It stars Kevin Sorbo as Captain Dylan Hunt, rescued from a 300-year stasis near a black hole to find that Systems Commonwealth, a peaceful democratic government with over one million member worlds, has fallen. He and his ship, the Andromeda Ascendant, are now on their own in a new and terrifying Dark Age.
Captain Hunt assembles a raggedy crew of humans and aliens aboard the Andromeda and sets out to revive the ideals of the Commonwealth.
