Anita Loos (April 26, 1888 - August 18, 1981) was a major American screenwriter, playwright and author, best known for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She wrote film scenarios and screenplays for D.W. Griffith, Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, articles for Vanity Fair (magazine) and two successful autobiographies.
