Anthony Giddens (January 18, 1938, Edmonton - )is renown for his theory of structuration. He is currently director of the London School of Economics and Political Science and an advisor to the British Prime Minister Tony Blair. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Public Policy Research.
Both Giddens and Blair support the "third way" political approach.
