Ardabil province

Ardabil is one of the 28 provinces of Iran. It is in the north-west of the country, bordering the republic of Azerbaijan and the Iranian provinces of East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, and Gilan. Its capital is Ardabil. It used to be part of East Azerbaijan province, and was made a separate province in 1993.
