Argyll and Bute is one of 32 unitary council regions in Scotland. Its border runs through Loch Lomond, and it adjoins the regions of West Dunbartonshire and Highland.

Argyll was one of the traditional counties of Scotland. It covered the area less Bute, and including a section of the mainland north of Mull.
