Bagrationi (or Bagratids) was a royal dynasty of Georgia in the 8th century AD-1810. Family of Georgian Bagration's was arised in South Georgia, in the ancient Georgian region of Speri (or Ispir, now territory of Turkey), from the Georgian family of Bivritiani, in the 5th century AD.

Ashot I Curapalat (died in 826) was the first King from this family and founder of the royal dynasty. First King of the united Georgian Kingdom was Bagrat III (975-1014). Greatest representatives of this dynasty were David the Builder, Tamar of Georgia and others. Last King from the dynasty of Bagrationi was a King of Imereti Solomon II. In 1801 by the Tsarist Russian Empire was occupied and annexed the Kingdom of Kartl-Kakheti (Eastern Georgia), in 1810 the Kingdom of Imereti (Western Georgia).
