Banff is the largest town situated within Banff National Park. Banff is about 100 kilometers west of Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway. Banff is about 50 km south of Lake Louise.

• Banff National Park - one of four adjoining mountain parks, which make up more than 20,000 square kilometers of ruggedly beautiful landscape in the Canadian Rocky Mountains ( Rockies ). In 1985, the United Nations recognized its importance to the world by declaring Banff a "World Heritage Site".
