Banffshire was a small county in the north of Scotland. The traditional county town was Banff. It bordered the Moray Firth to the north, Morayshire and Inverness-shire to the west, and Aberdeenshire to the south. An exclave of the county is resent locally situated in Aberdeenshire, around the town of St. Fergus.
Banffshire is currently used as a registration county for property.
