The Battle of Helm's Deep is a fictional battle in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The battle pitted the forces of Saruman against the warriors of Rohan under King Théoden at the mountain fortress of Helm's Deep. It was won by Rohan and is a key part of the movie made from the second book, The Two Towers.
