The Battle of Sabine Crossroads in Louisiana involved 192,000 union troops in three armies assaulted a fortified ridge held by 72,080 rebel troops under General Van Dorn. thirteen assaults and two days later union troops withdraw with 69,243 men lost while rebel troops lost 10,343.
