Bernard Placidus Johann Nepomuk Bolzano (October 5, 1781 - December 18, 1848) was a Czech mathematician and philosopher. He was born in Prague.
He is known for Bolzano's theorem, and also jointly with Karl Weierstrass developed the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem.
