Big Twelve Conference

The Big Twelve Conference is a collegiate athletics conference located in the central United States. It is a member of the NCAA's Division I for all sports, and Division I-A for football.

The conference was formed in 1996, when the former Big Eight Conference merged with four Texas schools that had been members of the Southwest Conference, which had just disbanded.

Member schools include:

North Division

• University of Colorado
• Iowa State University
• University of Kansas
• Kansas State University
• University of Missouri
• University of Nebraska

South Division

• Baylor University
• University of Oklahoma
• Oklahoma State University
• University of Texas
• Texas A&M University
• Texas Tech University

Member schools participate in baseball, men's and women's basketball, cross country, football, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling.
