Calamine is a zinc oxide mined as a zinc ore with the chemical formula (ZnOH)2SiO3. It is also used in calamine lotion, a pinkish-white solution used to soothe irritated skin such as in the case of sunburn, mosquito bites, and poison ivy.
Calamine is also a NYC based indie-pop band. They perform the theme song for the television show Sealab 2021.
