Canaanite can describe anything pertaining to Canaan and in particular its Language.
Canaanite Languages are generally those thought to constitute the North Central branch of Northwest Afroasiatic. In its widest terms it may include any of the following, though most commonly Aramaic & Punic are alternatively categorised as Eastern & Southern Central Northwest Afroasiatic respectively.
