Canadian Tire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Canadian Tire is a Canadian company that sells much more than tires. It has a large selection of hardware, automotive, sports, camping, gardening and electronics products.

Canadian Tire is also famous for "Canadian Tire Money", which can be used to purchase anything in the store. Contrary to popular belief, the picture of the man on the "money" is not Canada's first Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald; the man is actually a fictional creation named Sandy McTire.

It is collioqually known by Canadians as "Crappy Tire."

Canadian Tire Money

Practically every Canadian household has stashed somewhere in a drawer a wad of Canadian Tire Money. These are actually coupons issued by Canadian Tire but look like real currency. In fact they look so much like real currency that it has been successfully passed off as Canadian currency to Americans and Mexicans at times.

Canadian Tire gives you Canadian Tire Money every time you buy something in the store and pay cash for it. The amount you get is 3% of what ever your total purchases came to. You can use Canadian Tire Money to buy anything in the store or even gasoline at their gas stations. The "money" can even be used to cover the sales tax on the purchases.

Canadian Tire Money comes in 3 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 25 cent, 50 cent and 1 dollar denominations.

Canadian Tire is also humorously referred to as "crappy tire" in Canada. Sometimes American strippers will take Canadian Tire Money for a lapdance.
