Canandaigua Lake
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Canandaigua Lake, also called Lake Canandaigua, is the fourth largest of the Finger Lakes. It is the "Chosen Place" for the Iroquois. At the northern end is the city of Canandaigua and the southern end is near the town of Naples, imbedded in the heart of the Finger Lake wine country.

Canandaigua Lake is 15 1/2 miles long, 1 1/2 miles wide, and has a shore line of about 36 miles. Near the northern end is Squaw Island. About fifty percent of the surrounding land is in forest, but most of the remainder is under agriculture.
