Cannula
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

A cannula is a flexible tube that is inserted into the body that is used either to withdraw fluid or insert medication. Cannulas normally come with a trocar (a sharp pointed needle) attached which allows puncture of the body to get into the intended space. Intravenous cannulas are the most common cannulas in use in hospital.
