Celegorm is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's world of Middle-earth.
He was the third son of Fëanor and Nerdanel, most closely associated with another brother, Curufin. He was a great huntsman, and was a friend of the Vala Oromë. From Oromë he learned great skill of birds and beasts, and could understand a number of their languages. He had brought with him from Valinor the great hound Huan, a gift from Oromë.
Celegorm was also a good friend with his cousin Aredhel Ar-Feiniel, daughter of Fingolfin.
While he his brother Curufin lived in Nargothrond they captured Lúthien Tinúviel, and Celegorm wished to marry her, thus forcing a blood-bond between himself and the mighty lord of the Sindar Thingol, Lúthien's father. Lúthien escaped with the help of Huan, and the friendship between Celegorm and his dog was damaged.
He fell in the Second Kinslaying, when the Sons of Fëanor attacked Doriath for the Silmarils. He was slain by Dior the Beautiful. Thingol's Heir, who was also slain by him.
His father name in Quenya is "Turkafinwë", or "Strong Finwë", given because he was strong-willed. His mother name was "Tyelkormo", "Hasty-riser", given because of his quick temper.
