Chitose (千歳市; -shi) is a city located in Ishikari, Hokkaido, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 90,231 and the density of 151.66 persons per km². The total area is 594.95 km².
The city was founded on July 1, 1958. The New Chitose Airport, which is the main airport for Sapporo, is located in this city.
