Chocky was a creepy BBC children's science fiction television drama produced in the 1980s. It was based on a more adult book of the same name written by John Wyndham (Triffids).
All children have imaginary friends but one father becomes rather concerned that his son is a bit old to have an imaginary friend. His concerns deepen as his son becomes increasingly distressed and blames it on arguments with the imaginary friend. But according to his son, it's no imaginary friend but an intangible visitor from another planet.
The television sequel series, Chocky's Challenge and Chocky's Children were not based on John Wyndham books.
There are six episodes in the series.
