Geography
\nAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,470
km² (568
mi²). 1,461 km² (564 mi²) of it is land and 9 km² (4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.62% water.

2000, there are 36,655 people, 14,356 households, and 10,164 families residing in the county. The
