Cypress
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Cypress is a name applied to plants of the conifer tree family, Cupressaceae (Cypress Family). Most plants bearing the common name cypress are in the genera Cupressus and Chamaecyparis, but several other genera in the family carry the name, as does one unrelated angiosperm vine:

  • Cupressaceae
    • Cypress (Cupressus species)
    • Cypress (Chamaecyparis species)
    • Fujian cypress (Fokienia hodginsii)
    • Siberian cypress (Microbiota decussata)
    • Patagonian cypress (Fitzroya cupressoides)
    • Cypress-pines (Callitris species)
    • Bald cypress (Taxodium species)
    • Chinese swamp cypress (Glyptostrobus pensilis)

  • Convolvulaceae
    • Cypress vine (Ipomoea quamoclit)

Cypress is also a place name for several localities in the United States of America: This is a disambiguation page — that is, one that points to pages that might otherwise have the same name.
