Daniel R. Coats

Daniel R. Coats is an American diplomat.

Coats served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. He represented Indiana in the House of Representatives (1981 - 1988) and in the Senate (1989 - 1990).

Since 2001 Coats has been the U.S. ambassador to Germany.
