The Hon. David Kilgour (born February 18, 1941) in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A Canadian politician, Kilgour is currently a member of the Liberal Party of Canada in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Edmonton Southeast since 1988, and Edmonton—Strathcona from 1979 to 1988. He has also been a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, (1968-1990) and an independent (1990-1991). Kilgour is a former barrister and solicitor and lawyer. Kilgour is a former Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa), Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific), Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Privy Council, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for External Relatios, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport and the Deputy Speaker and Chairman of Committees of the Whole of the House of Commons.
