Dongeradeel (population: 24,952) is a municipality in the northern Netherlands, in the province of Friesland. The municipality covers an area of 265.82 km² (of which 98.58 km² water).
The municipality of Dongeradeel consists the following towns, villages and townships: Aalsum, Anjum, Bornwird, Brantgum, Dokkum, Ee, Engwierum, Foudgum, Hantum, Hantumeruitburen, Hantumhuizen, Hiaure, Holwerd, Jouswier, Lioessens, Metslawier, Moddergat, Morra, Nes, Niawier, Oosternijkerk, Oostrum, Paesens, Raard, Ternaard, Waaxens, Wetsens, Wierum.
