Donkey Kong Junior is a character from a Nintendo video game. He is the son of the original Donkey Kong who first appeared in the self titled video game. In this game, the object was for the protagonist to rescue his father, who had been kidnapped by Mario. After that he appeared in Super Mario Kart and then he appeared in Mario Tennis.
Donkey Kong Jr. was ousted from the Mario Kart series in Mario Kart 64. Although he was in a series of educational games on the PC in the days of the SNES; he has not been in a starring game since. The other members of the Donkey Kong family, like Diddy and Dixie Kong, have taken a more prominent role.
