East Germanic languages are a group now extinct Indo-European languages of the Germanic family that were spoken between the Oder and the Vistula rivers in Europe. There are no surviving members of this family.
Information is sketchy regarding many East Germanic Languages. However, more is known about the Gothic language specifically, because of the Gothic translation of the Bible by the bishop Ulfilas in the 4th century CE.
