Emerald City

The most famous Emerald City is the fictional capitol the Wizard built in Oz, though later books in the series indicate that he may not have been its original founder as some structures were there previously.

Beyond the books by L. Frank Baum and the famous film The Wizard of Oz, the name has been used to encourage tourism to Eugene, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.
