The Englischer Garten or "English Garden" is a large park in central Munich, Germany. It was founded in 1789 by Benjamin Thompson also known as Count Rumford. With an area covering nearly 4kmē the Englischer Garten is one of the world largest city parks.

The Englischer Garten houses several natural and man-made attractions:

  • Kleinhesseloher See
  • Japanische Teehaus ("Japanese Tea House"): japanese style tea house
  • Monopterus: a small greek style temple built by Leo von Klenze
  • Chinesischer Turm ("Chinese Pagoda") with beer garden
  • Aumeister: traditonal beer garden
