The Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) is the international governing body for all airborne sports. This includes both man-carrying and unmanned vehicles (such as model aircraft).
The Federación Anarquista Ibérica (Iberian Anarchist Federation) was an organisation of Anarchist militants active within the CNT. It was founded to help keep the CNT true to its anarchist aims and ideals. Members of the FAI were at the forefront of the fight against Franco's forces during the Spanish civil war. It is often abbrieviated as CNT-FAI because of the close relationship between the two organisations.External link
