The Focke-Wulf Ta 152 was a WW2 Luftwaffe fighter aircraft. The name refers to the final developments of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 aircraft which was redesignated with the 'Ta' in honor of Kurt Tank who headed the design team. The name started with the last Fw 152D models although only 67 production aircaft were delivered. The Ta 152H models were among the fastest fighters of the war, capable of speeds up to 755km/h (472 mph), however only ten models were completed. Kurt who occasionally teat flew his designs, enocountered some mustangs towards then end of the war when he was flying a 152, the model was quick enough to get away though. Its not clear of the mustangs saw him and pursued though.
