Fume Blanc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Fume Blanc is California's version of an oaked Sauvignon Blanc. This style was first called Fume Blanc by the Robert Mondavi Winery, after Pouilly-Fumé, a Sauvignon Blanc-based wine from France's Loire Valley. The most noted example is Mondavi's To-Kalon Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc.
