Gainesville Regional Airport
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Gainesville Regional Airport is an airport in Gainesville, Florida. ITS IATA Airport Code is GNV.

Currently, only Atlantic Southeast Airlines (Delta Connection) and US Airways Express fly to Gainesville Regional Airport, serving William B. Hartsfield International Airport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport respectively.

A fundraiser was established in 2003 to try to persuade Continental Airlines into flying from Gainesville to Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, but Continental decided not to offer such a service. However, American Airlines is currently investigating providing feeder service to Miami International Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
