Gakkou Kaidan (学校怪談) is a manga series by Yousuke Takahashi.
This article is based on only my memory of one volume of the series, so please excuse any mistakes I make.
Each volume of the manga contains a number of weird stories. The stories are more or less independent of each other; it is not as if each story starts where the last leaves off.
Most of the stories contain ghosts, monsters, or similar. Some of the stories are spooky; a few are more or less comedy; a few seem to be almost morality stories... you can find a variety of stuff in here. Basically, it is a good read for when you want to give your brain a rest. And the Japanese in the stories, for the most part, does not seem especially difficult. (If you don't understand the words, the pictures make it mostly clear anyway.)
