Gavin Menzies

Gavin Menzies is a book author and a former British Royal Navy submarine commander whote is the author of the controversial book 1421: The Year the Chinese Discovered the World. The 1421 theory suggests that the famous Chinese admiral Zheng He travelled to the Americas before Christopher Columbus did in 1492. His book, in so far as it relates to the Chinese discovery of America, is considered by many knowledgeable experts to not be founded in fact.
