Göppingen Gö 4
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The Göppingen Gö 4 was a german sailplane for training. Its key feature was a side by side seating format which makes it much easier to use as a trainer, with dual controls as well. The plane was of average pefomance for gliders of its day, and was advertised as making it easier to learn to fly sailplanes.

In the 1937 the two-seater completed its first flight. The Go.4 had been conceived particularly as a training course airplane to improve on the Go.2, which had the seats were one behind the other making it harder to teach in. The Go.4 rectified this by allowed teachers and students to sit next to eachother. The fuselage was kept as narrow as possilible however. The Go-4 was produced in Kirchheim.
