\'Graham Hancock' (born 1951) is an historian, journalist, and author of several books, including The Sign and the Seal, Fingerprints of the Gods, and Underworld: Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age. Renowned as an alternative historian for his analysis of stone monuments or megaliths, ancient myths, and astronomical data from around the world to challenge the dominant assumption of orthodox archaeology that civilization began relatively recently (on the order of 5-4000 BCE).
