Henry Jaynes Fonda (May 16, 1905 - August 12, 1982) was an American actor.
He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska. Fonda's daughter, Jane, starred with him in On Golden Pond. He also had a son, Peter, an actor. Henry Fonda finally won an Oscar for his performance in the movie but died of cancer and heart disease in Los Angeles shortly after being told of his win at his home with Wife Shirlee and daughter Jane at his side.
