Hurdling
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Hurdling is an event in track and field athletics. It is a short running race, in the course of which participants have to jump over several 'hurdles' which are plastic obstacles that are about 1 meter high. Generally, the hurdles are designed to safely fall over if the runner misses them. However, now and then a hurdler will trip over the hurdles and be disqualified.

Hurdling events usually come in 50, 100, 110 or 400 meter distances.
