Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique

The Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique (INRIA) is a French national research institution focusing on computer science, control theory and applied mathematics.

It has research units in

• Rocquencourt (a suburb of Paris)
• Sophia-Antipolis (near Nice);
• Grenoble;
• Rennes (IRISA - in association with CNRS and local universities);
• Nancy (LORIA - in association with CNRS and local universities)

and also contributes to academic research teams outside of those centers.
