Isoko is an area in Nigeria most diversified in terms of ethnic groups and languages as the commonly spoken language (Isoko) varies within a distance of one kilometer. This was popularly sang in a song composed by one of the indigenes (Evi Edna Ogoli) when she sang "one kilometer is another language".

Major towns

Isoko is divided into two major Local Government Areas: Isoko South (with Irri as Local Government Headquarters) and Isoko North (with Ozoro as Headquarters).

Some of the towns that make up Isoko are: Ozoro, Olleh, Okpe, Ofagbe, Uzere, Irri, Idheze, Uro, Orie, Utue, Emede, Emevor, Otor-Owhe, Iyede, Ivrogbo, Illuelogbo and others.
