Jackson County is a
county located in the
State of
Wisconsin. As of
2000, the population is 19,100. Its
county seat is
Black River Falls6.
Geography
\nAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,590
km² (1,000
mi²). 2,557 km² (987 mi²) of it is land and 33 km² (13 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.28% water.

2000, there are 19,100 people, 7,070 households, and 4,835 families residing in the county. The
population density is 7/km² (19/mi²). There are 8,029 housing units at an average density of 3/km² (8/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 89.58%
