Jacobswoude (population: 10,643) is a municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covers an area of 41.56 km² (of which 4.96 km² water).
The municipality of Jacobswoude consists the following towns, villages and townships: Bilderdam, Hoogmade, Leimuiden, Rijnsaterwoude, Woubrugge.
The only bus service serving Rijnsaterwoude is night bus 258 from Amsterdam to Alphen aan den Rijn, in that direction only, and during weekends only.
Wireless Jacobswoude is a wireless community network under construction, starting in Woubrugge, (to be) connected to Wireless Leiden. ProBiblio will experiment with it in its mobile library.
