Jarome Iginla (born July 1 1977, in Edmonton, Alberta) is a professional Ice Hockey Right Wing in the NHL, his is captain of the Calgary Flames.
Iginla has played all of his 8 NHL seasons with Calgary. He was drafted in 1995 by the Dallas Stars. His best season was 2001-02 when he had 96 points. (NHL high for that season) he also had an NHL high 52 goals in 2001-02. The season elevated him to instant superstar status and he became a fan-favourite. The next year was not nearly as good for Iginla with his numbers significantly lower. In the summer of 2003 Craig Conroy stpped aside as the team's captian, promoting Iginla to that position. The 2003-2004 season has so far gone well for him and his team and Calgary may make the playoffs for the first time in six years.
