Jeffrey Eugenides

Jeffrey Eugenides (March 8 1960 Detroit, Michigan) is an American (of Greek origins) novelist and short story writer. He graduated from Brown University in 1983 and also holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from Stanford University. Eugenides lives with his family in Berlin, Germany. He is very reluctant to appear in public or disclose details about his private life.

• Middlesex (2002) (ISBN 0374199698) - Pulitzer Prize for fiction

The Virgin Suicides became known to a wider audience when, in 1999, it was made into a film by Sofia Coppola.
