Karelians

The Karelians are a Finno-Ugric people inhabiting the the Historical province Karelia, Finland and in Republic of Karelia, Russia and speaking Karelian language. Significant enclaves of Karelianss exist it Tver oblast, Russia, resettled after the defeat of Russia in Russia-Sweden wars in 1617.
